DILLINJA AND LEMON D - BIG BAD BASS

Dillinja and Lemon D "Big Bad Bass" Album Review
heavy dirty bass
This album has some good tracks on it. Some are not as good, but its worth checking out. Dillinjas got some dirty distorted basslines that will make your speakers work hard. He is a good producer and I respect him for coming up with these sounds which a lot of people might think is easy until they try making DnB. Anyway, if you like the hard, heavy, banging DnB, this is a good lp. Cybertron is worth picking up too. Later!
V A - VISIONS

V A "Visions" Album Review
Great fusion.
Masterful playing and smoking fusion grooves. Nice tribute that is true to the original while being current.

AK1200 - SHOOT TO KILL

Ak1200 "Shoot to Kill" Album Review
one star is too much
Awful, completely awful. Beyond corny. I think AK1200 recorded 74 minutes of demo tracks from a Casio. Also, I completely agree with a previous reviewer: the CD packaging is hideous. It looks like a design for Attack Force tennis shoes ca. 1990.
PESHAY - FUZION

Peshay "Fuzion" Album Review
No, not miles from home
To his credit, Peshay has not produced another 'Miles from Home' (which was a great album). he has moved on, so lets avoid the whole 'i like his old stuff better than his new stuff' routine. While the last album was influenced heavily by jazz, this one seems to be influenced more by soul and... house. I see some similarities between some of the tunes on this album and J Majiks recent stuff. 'You got me burning' is a great opener, which most of the 'headz would've already heard in the clubs. In my opinion the real gems are 'satisfy my love' and 'no more tears', but to be honest, all the tunes on here are tearing.
