One True Parker "Will I Dream" Album Review

Brilliant
What a damn shame that One True Parker only made one album because it is simply phenomenol. Kind of drum n bass, kind of nu breaks, kind of vocal electronica, kind of experimental, but completely creative and unique. Flawlessly executed, the production is just mind-boggling on this CD. Buy this before it goes out of print!

DJ Fresh "Escape from Planet Monday" Album Review

Album Description
System Recordings and HUMAN Imprint are proud to present 'Escape From Planet Monday' - the first full length artist album from UK drum and bass producer extraordinaire, DJ Fresh. Featuring DJ Shadow, Apollo 440, Pet Shop Boys and the massive drum 'n' bass anthem "All That Jazz VIP", 'Escape From Planet Monday' delivers everything you would expect from the man behind Bad Company UK. <P>'Escape From Planet Monday' is a rollercoaster ride through all of the facets of DJ Fresh's imagination. DJ Fresh links Apollo 440 for "Nervous" and the Pet Shop Boys for "Throw". He experiments with DJ Shadow for "Closer" and brings in d'n'b sensations Pendulum for "Babylon Rising." Couple that with all new mixes of club favorites "Submarines", "All That Jazz" and "All Strung Out" and an album with many dimensions starts to shape up.

Total Science "Mars Needs Total Science" Album Review

just slightly disappointed
This band's awesome "Breakbeat Science Excercise 6" is what encouraged me to buy this disc. I love the artwork on the disc itself. However, I live continous DnB mixes, and this had segregated songs. You can tell the duo is trying to branch into new genres, or at least not do just typical DnB. However, since I was in a pure DnB mood with them, I was disappointed. Don't get me wrong: I don't hate this disc. It just wasn't heavenly like J. Magik or "Safari" by Bad Company or many Diesel Boy discs. There are some tracks that keep it true to the genre. Those were great.
